The Canterbury Orchestra is composed of good amateur musicians from East Kent who enjoy playing orchestral music. Our past concerts page gives an idea of the type of orchestral music we play. The Canterbury Orchestra typically gives between 4 and 6 concerts each year
Although we currently rehearse on Friday eveings, from 2008 this is moving to Wednesday evenings. Our usual rehearsal venue is The Old Sessions House, Christ Church, Canterbury.
Please contact us if you are interested in playing with this East Kent based orchestra. The music played requires a standard of grade 6 or above, higher in some sections. There are usually vacancies in the upper strings and brass, with occasional places available in the woodwind section.
