Numbers: The HASO orchestra will be about 30 players (including conductor) with 10 partners etc. - Total number of visitors 40.
Accommodation: Most of our visitors will stay at the Victoria Hotel in Canterbury, but some (about 16) would like accommodation with our members. I have names of some people who have offered accommodation and hope to allocate the visitors when I receive more information from the Netherlands. In the mean time if any other members wish to offer accommodation (preferably in or very near to Canterbury) please let me know.
Music: We shall be playing: Beethoven: Symphony No 2
Kees Olthuis: “Parade” (1990),
a short piece by each orchestra separately.
Conductors: John Myhill and the HASO conductor will share the conducting
Thursday 17 May HASO will arrive in Canterbury at about 3 pm. Those offering accommodation should be available to meet them at around that time. Our visitors will probably wish to eat together in Canterbury that evening.
Friday 18 May - Visit to Finchcocks We hope as many as possible from the Canterbury Orchestra will join HASO for this visit. The likely schedule is:
9.30 leave Canterbury by car,
11.00 arrive at Finchcocks for coffee,
11.30 short introduction,
11.45 Demonstration/recital,
1.00 pm lunch, then see House and return.
Cost: £8 entrance + £1.50 for morning coffee + £8 lunch = £17.50 each. We will need to know numbers by April. The lunch is optional, but we assume most people will want to lunch with our visitors

We need to know numbers nearer the time, when a £5 deposit per person will be payable.
