The Canterbury Orchestra, Kent, was founded in 1953. The Canterbury Orchestra is a thriving group of enthusiastic amateur players who regularly tackle major works from the symphonic repertoire. The orchestra meets to practise on Friday evenings during termtime, and gives between 4 and 7 concerts each year. Our conductor, John Myhill is well established in East Kent as a performer, composer and musical director and his works have been published, broadcast and performed in major venues in Britain and abroad.
